Not a dry diaper in the house

by Carmen on March 13th, 2009 · No Comments

My oldest daughter will be 3 this April.  She is still in a diaper and still does all of her business in her diaper.  At best she will occasionally tell me when she has already done her deed in her diaper but absolutely does not care to use the potty.  In fact, if I ask her if she has to go potty and try to take her to it she has a fit as if I’m forcing her into time out.  Like going to the potty is the worse thing in the world.  Far worse then sitting in her own pee and poops apparently.

I have followed everyone and anyone’s advice in trying to get her potty trained and NONE of it has worked!  People who know my agonies even tell me “eventually she’ll just get tired of being in dirty diapers and start using the potty.”  Riiiiiiight.  At this point even that doesn’t appear to be true.

I dunno what to do.  My daughter is going to be starting preschool this fall and I don’t want her to be the only child still in diapers.  On top of the fact that it would be nice to be saving just a bit more time and money by changing one less child’s potty pants.  HELP!
